Ingredient
230 g Whole Wheat Flour
2 tsp Melted Lard (or Peanut oil / Corn Oil)
110 g Sugar
2 tsp Baking Powder
85 g Water
6 Tbsp White Sesame Seeds
Method
1. Sift the wheat flour and baking powder into a mixing bowl. Add in sugar and
lard or the corn oil / peanut oil.
2. Gradually pour in the water and knead the mixture into a dough. Leave to
rise for about 1/2 hour.
3. Roll the dough to about 4 cm in diameter and cut into small pieces.
4. Knead each piece into round balls and coat them with white sesame seeds.
5. Deep-fry the balls with hot corn / peanut oil over medium heat until their
upper parts split. Turn the split parts down with a pair of chopsticks and
deep-fry them until golden in colour before serving.
